‘Milk chocolate covered wafer with smooth milky and hazelnut filling’, that does a good job of summarising this bar, but doesn’t really tell you just how absolutely delicious this thing is. I guess that’s my job then.

The Kinder range is one of my favourites in the confectionary world. From the Happy Hippos to this, everything I’ve ever had from them has been simply wonderful. Chocolatey, milky, and in this case hazelnutty, they’ve never let me down and considering how inexepensive they are, these are one of the nicest store bought chocolates you can buy.

These are so light as well! Even though they weigh 43g, which is about average for a single serving chocolate, they certainly don’t feel like it. The light chocolate coating, light wafer, and light hazelnut cream are all so…well, light, and go down so darn easily. There are two wafer bars in the pack as you can see in the picture above. Each has 4 pieces that break off, and are filled with the hazelnut and milky cream. It’s not runny or anything like that, but it’s not solid either. It’s sort of thick, but at the same time very light.

Basically, it’s absolutely delicious and if you like hazelnuts then this could very well already be one of your favourite chocolates, or about to be if you try it anytime soon. It is a necessity that you try this. Each stick has 121 calories, 2.1g Protein, 10g Carbohydrates and 8.1g Fat.

Ah yes, the Kinder Bueno, one of my favourites, when I first tried these, under pressure due to the relentless advertising, I was surprised. And I agree with you, they’re delicious, not too thick and not too runny.
Good review ;D

Ohhh, if you like these do try and track down a Topic bar. It’s like a Snickers, but with hazelnuts instead. *drools* It’s simply wonderful!

My family is just *addicted* to Kinder Bueno and can’t find them where they live. I have to supply them whenever I visit!

I assure you I’ve already tracked down, and consumed, the Topic bar many times. I have a review ready for it, but it may be awhile before it goes up.

How much do Kinder Buenos cost for you? Here they’re the same price as your average Twix, Snickers, etc. So I’d hate for you to be getting ripped off or anything.

You know, for some reason I never buy these from the candy isle. I’ve had plenty of the Kinder eggs, but not these. The hazelnut filling is yellow, not like the brown hazelnut spread? In Canada these are usually a little more than the standard Snickers, Reese’s, bars – ’cause they never have promotions or sales 😦

Hmmm, a little more expensive I believe. Twix, Snickers, etc are anywhere form 69 to 89 cents…and Kinder Bueno runs about $1 to $1.25.

Awesome. Good to know “Topic” has been conquered. 🙂

Mary – I assume you mean candy aisle, unless there’s a candy island I haven’t heard of! 😀 And it’s a sort of light brown/dark yellow.

Sera – That’s not too bad then, for us here we get ripped off for the prices of American and most foreign chocolate really. Lots of import taxes and VAT and suchforth that I think you don’t have, or is much lower in America. Be thankful for it. 😦

That sounds about right. Of course getting the multipacks, and especially when they’re on offer would make them even cheaper, but that would be a little greedy. 😉

Oops, aisle that’s right 🙂 Real import chocolates are rare and more expensive here – say $2.50 for a UK bar vs $.80 for a regular Snickers. Then there’s the more common chocolates imported (and made?) by Canadian companies, which don’t taste as good in my mind 😉

yeah but whats life if you cant be greedy 😉

Here in New Zealand, I can get Bueno for about NZ$2.50 which is US$something or other. I can’t be bothered converting.
They are so good. Perfect consistency, delicious nutty undertones etc.

US$1.95

Yeesh, that’s £1 a bar. I’d hate to pay that much for them…

Then again I probably get ripped off to a similar level with some of the stuff I buy.

I live in the US, and absolutely love anything from Kinder. Nothing from Kinder is available here, but I go to an import store to get things. Kinder Buenos are about US $1.60 there, which is expensive, but not too bad when you think of shipping prices from UPS or any other shipping company.

I see that’s not too bad, that’s about the price we pay (we get them a bit less) for the majority of American stuff we have. Converting the £ to the $ (easier for you that way) I pay about $1 for a pack of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, and the same for a standard Hershey’s bar, as well as the Cookies n Creme flavour. Mike and Ike’s costs about the same. Then there are bigger things like Hershey’s Kisses which cost significantly more.

All in all it’s only worth it if you really like the stuff, or if you have a chocolate reviewing blog like yours truly. 😉

That’s so expensive! I just bought my kinder bueno for 12packs for $13 Singapore dollars (US$9.50). And here in Singapore they can be found everywhere.

I am writing in to express my disappointment towards Kinder Bueno (which obviously used to be one of my favorites, thus I bother to write in to share my experience).

I had recently been offered a bar of Kinder B. and to my surprise, the bar of Kinder B. tasted like an expired product.

The expiry date is: August 2010, and it is only April now!!!

It is written at the back of the packaging =>

Satisfaction Guaranteed: If dissatisfied, please contact the local distributor for replacement. But I am not able to neither find any contact number nor e-mail address of the Singapore Distributor.

A Dissatisfied consumer,
Ping 😦

it could be the conditions of where the store owner put the item rather than kinders fault i have had many of their products over the years and never had a problem nor any oher brand maybe sometimes broken chocolate or squashed but its the retailers fault for that. shame you cannot find a local distributor if there is a website on the packet tr contacting them there
